Smoking
Dangers
Smoking
Health Effects
You should not need reminding, that smoking heart disease
and cancer, are just two of many serious smoking dangers.
Children who live with parents who smoke are much more at risk
from these terrible afflictions, and there are a range of other
smoking health effects that compound the problem. Surely, after
reading this, you too will be convinced of the necessity to
quit smoking.
Fortunately, people in the Western world, at least, are
considerably better off than they used to be. Regrettably many
people still smoke, as a result of which smoking dangers
remain, as a constant health threat, that is a drain on health
resources. Of course children, the world over, deserve to be
protected from smoking health effects, which are such blight on
society.
On the plus side, as more and more people have become aware
of smoking dangers, campaigns to encourage people to quit
smoking have intensified. As people’s income and status have
improved they are able to spend more time on looking
presentable. Unfortunately, some otherwise intelligent people
continue to smoke believing that if they stop smoking, weight
gain will result. That certainly doesn’t need to be the case
and usually results from replacing one bad habit with another,
such as a poor diet.
Smoking
- Premature Aging
If you quit smoking, health effects will be evident for all
to see. Many people are not generally aware that one of the
less well-known consequences of smoking is premature aging and
looking old. Dry skin and poor complexion, are smoking health
effects that you should be aware of. Most people like to look
their best, and there are many occupations where such is
expected. Looking smart is good for the job, and a personal
confidence booster into the bargain.
Smoking
Teens
No matter how long you may have been a smoker there is
always some benefit to be gained from stopping. However, the
sooner you stop the better, and the more chance you will have
of making a full recovery. Some peoples activity is severely
curtailed, when they get older, as they were smoking teens,
They never really thought much about smoking dangers, and until
fairly recently were not encouraged to do so. The pendulum has
happily swung the other way, and there is now so much
assistance available to help people quit smoking, that it is
foolhardy not to take advantage.
Avoidance
It is not possible to steer clear of all the
hazards of life but smoking dangers are avoidable. Smoking
health effects including serious conditions like smoking heart
disease are avoidable. If you really want to stop smoking you
can, and when you do you will realize that there is absolutely
no point in being addicted, to something that is so damaging to
a natural and healthy life.
